McAfee – MPOWER recap
It’s about time.
That was the theme of MPOWER 2019 in Las Vegas.
During the opening keynote Chris Young, Chief Executive Office of McAfee told the attendees “time is our most valuable resource, we should make every second count at MPOWER”. McAfee detects five new threats per second. This was shown on screen behind Chris Young, while presenting. On the first day of the conference more than 164.000 threats were discovered, based on the live updates on the display.
According to recent research, threats are multiplying at unprecedented rates. Time is the underpinning factor in McAfee’s investment strategy, in protection the digital experience, from the device to the cloud. Chris Young went on to say that time is the one constant we can’t change and the one constraint we can’t ignore. Time, he reiterated, “remains our one resource that can burden or empower”.
