MPOWER Rome starts with Coffee
As one group we meet each other at the Starbucks at Brussels Airport. With a cup of coffee in our hands we are on our way to new adventures at the cybersecurity event of the year, MPOWER. Once arrived in Rome we could enjoy a delicious Italian lunch.
Normally MPOWER only last one day but we wouldn’t be Secutec if we didn’t use our time wisely. In the afternoon we organised especially for our customers interesting ‘deep dive’ session. Avecto, McAfee and Zimperium explained their newest technologies and updates. Optimizing your cloud security was one of the main topics! Also, one of our customers gave a presentation to share his experience about breaches, lessons learned and how he will organize his incident management in the future.
What to do when you are in Rome?
Being in Rome for less than 38 hours but without seeing one of the seven world wonders wasn’t an option. A guide showed us the famous Piazza Venezia, the Colosseum and many other historical places in the centre. Before going back to the hotel, we enjoyed a five-course Roman dinner at a local market, a specific market where you wouldn’t come as tourist!
2nd day of MPOWER…
After a long first day and a short night we start our day with a strong coffee and some pastries. Full of energy we attended, together with 900 other attendees t he introduction keynotes of McAfee’s board management. What will the future of McAfee bring? What will bring the future of cybersecurity? What should be our focus? How can MVISION give you an answer to these questions? The keynote sessions were absolutely enlightening.
In the afternoon we could enjoy high technical breakout sessions about: advanced threat defence, how McAfee is bringing security tools together, how you can adjust your endpoint security posture, data loss preventions, study cases and many more.
A quick dinner, anther strong coffee and just before midnight we arrived back home.
